Zak Bloom
Keystone Ski Patrol, Avalanche Dog Handler
Dog: Maia (6-year-old Golden Retriever, Certified Avalanche Rescue Dog)
Zak and Maia have built the kind of partnership that most people only read about. In the winter they work avalanche rescue together at Keystone Ski Patrol, which means they are operating in some of the most demanding conditions imaginable, trusting each other completely and relying on that trust to bring people home safely. When the season ends and the mountain quiets down, Maia doesn't exactly take a break. Her father was a dock jumping champion and she inherited every bit of that energy, so summers are spent on boats and rivers. Zak will tell you that having a fearless dog is a double-edged sword and that keeping her safe is the most important job he has.

George Abraham
K9 Lifeguard & First Responder Dogs
Dogs: Kelby (3-year-old Newfoundland), Nixie (17-month-old Newfoundland)
George and his girls are part of something genuinely one of a kind. Kelby and Nixie the Newfoundlands are half sisters who were practically born for the water, and have spent their lives proving it. Together with George they make up part of the only active K9 lifeguard unit in the United States, a team that gets to people while there is still time to help. The three of them have a bond that was shaped by doing something important together, day after day. The trust between each other runs just as deep as the need to trust the right gear for their safety.

Todd
Rider, Adventurer
Dog: Pippa (12-year-old Schnoodle)
Todd rescued Pippa when she was three years old and somewhere in the years that followed she decided that wherever he went, she was going too. At twelve she still logs at least a thousand miles a year on the bike, riding with the kind of confidence that comes from doing something so many times it stops feeling like anything other than normal. She has her own spot, she settles in like she owns the road, and the goggles she wears are a deliberate match to Todd's own sunglasses. It started as a fun detail but it has become something more than that, a little visual shorthand for a partnership that has been building for nearly a decade. Most people do not see them coming and by the time they do, Pippa has already made her impression.

Greg Hunt
Owner, Performance Dog Supply
Dogs: Drake (Boykin Spaniel, 9), TJ (GSD/ACD, 9), Dixie (Lab/Coonhound, 7), Dixie (Boykin Spaniel, 3), Dennis (English Springer Spaniel, 9 weeks)
Looking for someone with a lot of dogs and passion for the right dog gear? Greg and his pack of 5 are the ones. Drake and TJ have been by his side for nine years, which means they have seen the whole arc of what Performance Dog Supply became, from a small idea built around quality gear for active dogs to the real thing. Dixie and Paisley filled in the middle years with their own personalities, and now Dennis, nine weeks old and completely unaware of the legacy he is inheriting, is the newest member of a household that takes its adventures seriously. Beach in the summer, woods in the winter, and a Dad who has spent years thinking carefully about what it means to keep a whole pack healthy and happy and out there doing what they love.
