Rex Specs In Action
As informed, the Rex Specs were delivered promptly and packaged in such a manner nothing was going to damage the products.
It's taking the dogs some time to become familiar with the doggles since they had not hand anything on their faces. It's a work in progress. However, they both looked like rock stars for the brief time they wore the product. Hopefully, with time and peer pressure they will enjoy the goggles. They looked at each other and it was very cool watching their perspectives. Can't wait to have them actually wearing the goggles in public. I'm sure they will garner many comments and will likely also be the darlings of many photos. I also expect there will be many questions regarding where the goggles were purchased.
Both dogs shook their heads in order to get the goggles off as they were not adjusted properly at the time. The sturdy construction of the goggles preserved it from being damaged.
I'm very satisfied with the goggles and I hope the dogs will also happy with the goggles.
Great job in developing the goggles and marketing them. Kudos to the company and staff!!!!
I love that I can protect my girl from sun burns on her eyes. Especially out on the lake all day or on hikes. She’s also the coolest dog in town with them on
My senior Samoyed is having some eye issues related to age, and is sensitive to light at times, especially during the winter months. We are still figuring out her diagnosis, but I figured I should go ahead and get her a pair of doggles. it only took me a couple days to get her used to the Rex Spex and she took to them quite easily it really seems like she understands the whole point of them and as much happier on her walks in the snow. They seem very comfortable to her and she doesn't mind them at all, though a lot of treats did help things along! If you need vision protection for your dog, these will be invaluable.
Have you seen a happier pup?! Absolutely love the RexSpecs. Awesome purchase!
We get a lot of comments on these as we walk about "cool glasses" or "see the puppies with the goggles" but they prevent people other dogs from making eye contact with my service dog while we're out and he seems more relaxed. People also notice them more than his vest so we've had less people come up and pet him. Since they only block a small amount of light his vision has been fine and he hasn't been sensitive about them.
Drax the Dogstroyer has never been safer chasing MTB tires. I trained him to run behind (incase there is an untrained dog coming the other way) but the rear tires kick up dirt, dust and mud. Unfortunately, Drax is the perfect height to take the rounds of clay to the face. Instead of waiting for an expensive eye surgery, I took the opportunity to train him on eyewear. He is well trained all around, but it still took him a little while to become accustomed to the goggles while “working”. For use in the car, he was running them very quickly but several weeks to get him working the trails in his fancy goggles.
I will say, he is usually a hit/popular wherever we go, but now it’s crazy. People stop and take pictures when he has the tinted lenses in haha.
I don’t really care for the attention, but the protection they provide on the trail is excellent. The replacement lenses are totally affordable. If you have the means and time to train them, it’s a no brainer. Start with the basics and he patient, 100% worth the protection. 🤙🏻🤘🏻✌🏻
This is my second pair for my blind dog. I bought them to protect his eyes from punctures cause he likes crashing through the bushes. I also take him for bike rides on dusty trails. I've tried other types of eye protection, but these are the best!
The specs arrived promptly, fit very well, but Duke does not yet like them. He needs to be distracted in order to keep them on, but this appears to be his personality and nothing to do with the specs.
Love these! They were a gift for a friend for her new pup. Now I need to get some for my Newf...see you again soon!!
My dog has worn goggles for over 4 years, he has 17 pair. When “Santa” gave Ruger his Rex Specs there was no breaking in period as he was used to wearing eye protection. I truly think he likes these more than and other eye protection. The field of view is much better. I have a rule :if your going to hang your head out of the window you’re going have on protection. Sun is also brutal on a dogs eyes. Where protection
Still in training but doing well!
They fit well and she tolerates them for about 20 minutes so far. She likes sticking her head out the window. Will use them come hunting time.
I mean, look at her. She rides on my snowmobile with me while wearing the goggles. Pretty badass. She does still try to take the goggles off but she's figuring it out
I wasn’t sure how my dog would like wearing goggles, but these are so light weight and so soft on her muzzle that is doesn’t mind them at all. Making sure my dogs eyes are protected from damage is very important and these are an absolute dream.
Beautifully made and everybody loves them but the dog. She is slowly getting acclimated but acts like wearing them is punishment. This too will pass. Would purchase again without reservation.
