Goggles for Dogs - V2

My dog does not fuss one bit when I put these goggles on! What a great product!

I just logged into my Rec Specs account to order a second pair to keep in my car because I and my dog both love their goggles!
I tried several different brands and styles of goggles for my German Shepard, she was able to get them all off, until I purchased her Rex Specs. She couldn’t even get these partially off and that is because of the design, not because they’re tight.
I followed the Rex Specs measuring guide exactly and they fit perfectly. They come with a training guide, I highly recommend you use it, as a result of following their guide my girl adapted very quickly. Because we live in sunny AZ, I also order the darkest highest UV lenses so she doesn’t develop pannus. My vet also recommended goggles because she is reactive, which is common in shelter rescues, as they are known to help some dogs. I have definitely noticed since wearing these, she has become less reactive when unfamiliar people or other dogs are approaching us and when in a more busy environment. Other than the benefit of helping her be less reactive, her behavior and activity level are exactly the same and she now likes to stick her head out the car window as we drive down the street, prior to her Rex Specs she never put her head out the window. Other reviews comment on the lenses not being scratch resistant, in my opinion, this approach makes their goggles more affordable for everyone; putting scratch resistant lenses in them would not make them as affordable. That being said, I think adding scratch resistant lenses as an add on product would be a nice addition for those wanting to purchase them.
Yes, Rex Specs are a bit more expensive than other brands, but take it from someone who tried many other versions and brands and who had a previous dog who developed pannus, Rex Specs are worth every penny to protect your dogs eyes. Pannus is painful and can cause blindness if they develop it and is costly to treat and requires lifelong topical and oral medications and possibly surgery.

We’ve had a lab in the past go blind early due to the sun exposure combined with living at mile high altitude her life the UV rays were worse on her lenses. Fast forward years later, three small dogs 4.5lbs -10.5lbs -11.5lbs about a seven pound size and all fit into XS frames. Super easy to get them into them and wearing without issues just use their food as motivator and maybe bust out the occasional toy if they’re into that kind of thing. Highly recommend RexSpecs

The goggles are a hit! My senior dog wears them comfortably. One thing that would make the lenses better - scratch resistance! I end up buying multiple lenses (thank goodness they're affordable, thank you) because they get scratched easily when he sniffs in the bushes lol. Can't stop the boy from sniffing! Thank you! Goggles fit awesome!
