Everyday Adventures: On and Off the Disc Field
Dale is a 9-year-old mixed breed with a lifetime of experience behind her. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Dale also spent five years with her owners Matt and Taylor in Colorado. Competing in disc dog events, exploring trails, and enjoying neighborhood walks keep her daily life a blend of routine and adventure. The right gear helps keep every day easy, comfortable, and most of all, fun.
Made for Everyday Movement
Each day with Dale starts the same way: a morning walk around the neighborhood. An every day routine is where reliable, comfortable gear matters most. Dale’s go to setup includes the Climber Leash, Trailhead Collar, and Trailhead Harness. Easy to put on and comfortable to wear.
“Most evenings you will find her chasing a frisbee or a ball in the yard or at a park. She also enjoys playing tug and lounging in the sun,” says her owner Taylor.
The Trailhead Harness is designed to move naturally with her body, making it ideal for dogs who are active, and comfortable enough to keep them going. Whether it’s a short walk or a longer outing, the harness provides a secure fit without restricting movement.
“The Trailhead Harness is also great for bigger adventures,” Taylor shares.

Hands-Free Convenience Makes Life Simple
One of the most useful pieces in Dale’s gear set up is the Trailhead Dual Snap Leash. Its versatility makes everyday life easier for Taylor and Matt. From morning walks to on leash adventures, the leash clips around the waist for hands-free walks, giving more freedom and control without sacrificing security.
“It’s ideal for clipping around my waist to be hands free, and clips to the collar and harness super easily.”
“We also love using this leash for outings to dog friendly patios and for ease of securing the leash,” Taylor shares. Simple features like the stainless steel swivel hook and integrated daisy chain make everyday needs more simple.
Support on and Off the Disc Field
Dale’s escapades don’t stop at walks and disc dog competitions. As a competitive frisbee dog who needs to be able to track and catch discs, eye protection matters on bigger adventures where dirt, debris, and UV damage pose a risk. From hiking trails in Colorado to exploring new creeks in Texas, Taylor and Matt keep Dale’s eyes safe using Rex Specs Dog Goggles.

Getting her comfortable in Rex Specs was a gradual process using the training methods outlined on the Rex Specs website. “Slow and steady wins the race!” Taylor says.
Slow introductions, positive reinforcement, and patience made all the difference. Now goggles are just another part of her routine when needed.
Dale’s Top Gear
When it comes to favorite gear, Dale, Taylor, and Matt’s pick is clear: the Trailhead Harness. “It fits her so comfortably and she even pulls less on walks,” shares Taylor.
With a comfortable fit that can help reduce pulling, this harness makes everyday outings smoother.

Proven Performance, Year After Year
As a competitive disc dog, being comfortable and safe off the field is key to success when she’s back in the game. “Dale won her first ever Hero Cup Long Distance Competition at 3 years old with a 70 yard catch!” At nearly 10 years old, Dale is still flinging dirt on the field at disc competitions.
For dogs like Dale, the right gear isn’t just for big adventures. It’s the gear that also makes everyday life easier, safer, and more enjoyable, year after year.
