Happy to say that now Miss Sophie is wearing her pink googles during out winter adventures. However, she stills tries to pull them off when she has a face full of snow or when playing with other dogs. We started without any lenses then graduated to the clear lens - which she adapted to more quickly. Now we are in the dark lenses as she burns her eyes from either all the snow in her face or the bright Colorado sunlight reflecting off the snow. We tried two other brands without success. The Rex brand is far more detailed for a correct fitting. Thanks Rex Specs Team.
My dogs ophthalmologist recommended these to protect his cataracts from UV rays. They are well made and fit nicely. Follow the training tips!
Hoping to help prevent my dog from getting cataracts. It was very easy to train her to wear them. I don't know if she loves them or not but I do!
After the getting-her-used-to-them period (without and with lens in), we were pleased with how well they fit and kept the wind/dust out of her eyes while trail-riding in our side by side. While I did read the reviews before purchase, and know that they don’t typically affect vision, I was surprised at how easily they’ve become scratched by branches. Badge of honor, I guess. Better the lens than Daohne’s eyes.
